This is the code example to accompany the post about JavaScript Extension Custom Label Detail Pop-ups. In this Zip Archive, the post example has been extended and revisited so you will find two examples – the original demonstration using simple JavaScript, ready to be customized and styled, and the second example uses jQuery and a library called jBox to create attractive modal dialog boxes that can be moved around like Windows.

Both of these examples use a similar technique – a hidden content that is either displayed in the Custom Label directly, or in the case of jBox, that is used to provide the content for the library. The content can be changed by changing the JavaScript code, and can be enhanced by transforming the simple DOM manipulation into something more sophisticated. The demonstrations in the Zip Archive provide a great starting point.

Custom Label Example with jBox

The examples are provided in Oracle Policy Modeling Zip ready to be imported into the client application. You can then customize the examples as you see fit. Other libraries can be used to produce similar effects, or you can simply edit the CSS files and change the look of the custom label.
