The supplied examples include all the major event keys : mount, unmount, validate, update, search, commit, setInstance and more. As an aid to understanding the mechanics behind JavaScript Extensions, a PDF form is available in the project for download purposes, that includes a brief overview of all the code templates and their principles, along with some explanation of the different ways to interact with them.

A lot of the examples on this website started out as templates that used this tool. It simply speeds up the creation of boilerplate code so that you can concentrate squarely on writing the important parts of the extension, rather than copying and pasting, deleting code and all the other myriad things that need attention when building a new extension file. The current version of this product is compatible with 21A and has also been tested with 20D. Be sure to check that the extension you want to use is compatible with the version of Oracle Intelligent Advisor that you are planning to deploy. You can find out more about the basic notions from the online help at Oracle.

We welcome ideas from the community in respect of new examples, suggested extra templates and features, and hope to be able to continue providing you with this Code Generator for JavaScript Extensions for a long time to come.
