Using an Error Rule in Entity Instances to trap duplicates

This Oracle Intelligent Advisor forum post asks how to avoid letting a user create two different instances that have the same date. It involves self-referential relationships and an alias, and in the solution we offer two different approaches – one to provide an error message and another to simply stop the user creating the duplicates!
