Whats New in Oracle Intelligent Advisor 23C?

Sometimes it’s the little things that make a difference. And this new release of Oracle Intelligent Advisor (23C) has a couple of really nice little things that will make a big difference to how you can manage Decision Services and Flow projects.

Comments Management

  • Comments from Oracle Policy Modeling Projects can now be modified on the Hub – sometimes you forget to enter a complete comment, or you hit Return and the version is sent to the Hub before you know it. Not any more! In 23C there are several changes, and the first is the ability to edit a comment from an Oracle Policy Modeling Upload, on the Hub

And a dinky little dialog to make the changes in:

But that’s not all! Flows and Decision Service commits (the equivalent of an upload to store a version) also get Comments too! So that’s something we didn’t have at all before.

23C Comments

And they show up in the version list which is pretty cool:

Export to REST API JSON

Now this one is a REAL 23C gem. If you work with the REST API Batch Assess, the pain is that you are maybe in the Debugger as well. Previously you could import and export in XML format, and import the JSON from the REST API. But what was missing was the ability to take a debugger session and EXPORT it directly to Batch REST JSON. So many customers rolled their own, copied and pasted between the XML and the JSON. No more in 23C – native export to Batch REST JSON is here.

23C Export JSON

That is just so much time saved! And finally, another little thing – there has been an update in Flow projects as to how to handle object arrays mapped into a Flow either as global input data or as a custom data action.

All the new 23C news is in the online documentation which can be found here. The OIA team are cranking out excellent product, innovating with Flows and Decision Services and STILL finding time to give us cool new stuff even in Oracle Policy Modeling in 23C. I raise a glass and tip my hat to them!
